With stores starting to open up for in-store shopping, Doylestown is helping the process along by organizing an outdoor marketplace event under their Operation Doylestown plan. Operation Doylestown is a Doylestown borough initiative put into motion to help local businesses regain their momentum and offer new ways for customers to enjoy their offerings.
The Operation Doylestown initiative includes helping businesses find ways to offer expanded outdoor seating, sidewalk shopping, and outdoor marketplaces. All of these offerings will help businesses get on the path to recovery after the COVID-19 shutdowns.
The first outdoor marketplace will take place tonight, Saturday, June 13, from 5–8 p.m., at the Hamilton Street parking lot. Shops will be offering a wide array of products for shoppers to purchase. Participants at tonight’s outdoor marketplace include:
- Allora Gifts & Home Décor
- Doylestown Bike Works
- Doylestown Bookshop
- Makers Off Main
- Nomad Supply Company
- Olive Oil Etcetera
- Payton Jewelry
- The Yellow Door
- Vintage Vibe
Additional upcoming outdoor marketplace events are currently on the schedule, including Thursday, June 18, 4–7 p.m., and Sunday, June 21, 1–3 p.m., with participants to be announced for each event.
When you attend the outdoor marketplace, just note that current health guidelines will be in place including designated entrance and exit and safe social distancing practices. All participants and shoppers must wear a mask when they attend and there will be hand sanitizing stations available.
Come out to Hamilton Street parking lot tonight from 5–8 p.m. to support our local businesses and pick up some excellent products in a safe, outdoor shopping environment.
