Pop-Up Pedestrian Zone and Sidewalk Sale in Doylestown (July 24-26)

A few weeks ago, Doylestown borough explored setting up a pop-up pedestrian zone on West State Street in keeping with the recent Operation Doylestown initiative. The program was developed to help local businesses during these uncertain times. The results were so positive for business owners, residents, and visitors, that the borough officials have decided to do it again.

On Friday, July 24, and Saturday, July 25, North Main Street will be closed to vehicles between State Street and Court Street, from 5–11 p.m. Businesses located along this route will be able to put out vendor tables and set up outdoor seating along the sidewalks and parking lanes. The center of the roadway will remain clear for pedestrian traffic to provide optimal social distancing.

Another Doylestown event set to take place this weekend is the Doylestown Sidewalk Sale on Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26, during the day and evening hours. Participating stores will offer items outside their storefronts and special deals throughout the weekend. Some of the stores taking part in the weekend sidewalk sale include The Doylestown Bookshop, Monkey’s Uncle, The Yellow Door, and so many other fabulous Doylestown shops.
